Airline weigh restrictions limit both size and weight. There is an easy way to provide a frame. Write ahead to the event coordinator and ask they get a local carpenter to volunteer to make wooden frames to use for the picture as you draw. Most organizations have a carpenter who would love to help. After the drawing, staple your picture on the frame and present it as a gift to the coordinator. It is a nice gift that is worth twice as much since it is framed, plus it is free: no shipping or repair expense for you.
Most people don't know how to care for or frame chalk art, so do it for them. This has worked well for over 10 years in meetings. It would be difficult to purchase, make or transport the fine quality of frames that are freely given to help the meetings.
Detailed Instructions:
| Construct a frame from one by four wood with the measurements shown. (One by four is milled at 3.5 inches by .75 inched). This frame should cover the paper with no gaps on the top or sides and cover the side edges of the board. It should also allow clearance for the top brace and the chalk tray to sit flush against the paper. | |

| Insert two wood screws 2-3 inches long about half an inches into the wood on the rear side of the frame.
Position the screws 6 inches from the side edges and 3/8 of an inch down from the top edge of the frame. |
| Hang the frame on the top edge of the board so that the weight of the frame presses evenly on the all the paper edges. |
